تحليل لاكاني للازدواجية في رواية "الفتاة في الوشاح اليوسفي" لمهجة قحف
ألقت كارثة 11 أيلول (سبتمبر) 2001، بثقلها على كتابات الكتّاب الأمريكيين العرب وخاصة الكتاب المسلمين (Harb, 2012). وتستكشف هذه الدراسة موضوع اندماج المهاجرين العرب والمسلمين في المجتمع الأمريكي وما يرتبط به من معضلات ما بعد أحداث الحادي عشر من أيلول من منظور نفسي.
لهذا، فإن الدراسة تهدف إلى تحليل نفسي لازدواجية الهوية في رواية مهجة قحف: الفتاة في الوشاح اليوسفي** من خلال نظرية مرحلة المرآة من قبل لاكان. ويُتبع منهج بحث نوعي يعتمد على التحليل النفسي في محاولة لكشف الأزمة الثقافية التي تعاني منها البطلة في الرواية، والتداعيات النفسية الناتجة عنها.
يؤكد التحليل أن الإناث العربيات وخاصة المسلمات، لديهن انقسام في الهوية بسبب الهيمنة والعنصرية في الثقافة المضيفة. ومع ذلك، فإنهن يحاولن سدّ هذا الانقسام من خلال رحلة استكشاف ثقافية تسمح لهن بالتصالح مع صورتهن الأولى في المرآة وفقًا لنظرية المرآة لدى لاكان.

- Abstract: Evidently, the calamity of 9/11 has laid its weight on the writings of Arab American writers especially the Muslim ones (Harb, 2012). This study explores the subject of the integration of Arab and Muslim immigrants into the American society and its associated dilemmas post 9/11 from a psychological perspective. For that purpose, the study examines the duality in identity in Mohja Kahf’s novel: The Girl in the Tangerine Scarf through a Lacanian lens. A qualitative research methodology based on psychoanalysis is pursued in an attempt to reveal the cross- cultural crisis suffered by the female protagonist and the psychological repercussions that ensue from it. The analysis asserts that Arab females and especially Muslim ones seem to have a schism in identity due to hegemony and racism in their host culture. Yet, they try to bridge this division through a journey of cultural discovery which allows them to reconcile with their first mirror image as per Lacan’s Mirror Stage Theory.
