لماذا "خالدية" أمين الريحاني
حاجة ملحة لعالمنا المعاصر؟
يعالج هذا البحث فلسفة الخالدية للأديب اللبناني أمين الريحاني (1876 – 1940). وهي فلسفة تمزج قيم من ثقافات متعددة. وقد ناقش ريحاني هذه الفلسفة لأول مرة في روايته "خالد" الصادرة في طبعتها الأولى في العام 1911 في نيويورك، وقد ألّفها أثناء إقامته في جبال لبنان. وتعدّ هذه الرواية علامة فارقة في الأدب الأميركي - اللبناني. إذ ينحدر خالد بطل الرواية من بعلبك، من جذور الأرز في لبنان، ويهاجر إلى نيويورك حيث يواجه تناقضات خلفيته الشرقية الناعمة وقساوة الواقع الغربي. يحلم بمدينة عظيمة مفترضة، ويفكر في الإمبراطورية المثالية، ويبحث عن "سوبرمان" يجمع بين روحانية الشرق وفن أوروبا وعلم أميركا.
محور هذا البحث هو عرض الحلول التي تقدمها هذه الفلسفة لأزمات العالم المعاصر.

- Abstract:
This article discusses Ameen Rihani’s Khalidism, a philosophical perspective that blends elements from various cultures. This approach is introduced by Rihani in The Book of Khalid, a significant work in Lebanese American literature. The main concern of this article lies in demonstrating the solutions provided by this theory to critical problems in the modern world.
